/Homework

Weekly homework will generally consist of: 

• Nightly Reading - should be out loud to an adult or responsible older sibling
• Spelling Words - quiz every Friday - practice writing them and using them in sentences
• Vocabulary Words - be able to read them and use them in various sentences, especially words that can have more than one use or meaning
• High Frequency Words - be able to read them immediately, automatically, and without hesitation or having to sound them out
• Math Practice Pages from our math books or some other math resource

Please help your child remember to bring his or her homework to and from school each and every day.

Students should work on homework throughout the week to reinforce what is being learned in the classroom.  Please do not wait until Thursday evening to complete the homework assignments.  Work each night during the week so that you can ask questions if you are unsure of or confused about something.  All Language Arts and Reading homework is due and must be turned in by Friday morning of each week.  Math homework should be completed and turned in each day.
